Bathroom remodeling, tile showers and walk-in conversions
A bathroom is the smallest room with the most trades in it. We build them watertight first and pretty second: proper waterproofing, sloped pans and ventilation that actually exhausts outdoors, then tile, vanity, fixtures and paint.
Most of our bathroom work is one of three jobs: a tub-to-shower conversion with a tiled walk-in, a full hall-bath remodel in a 1970s–90s home, or a master bath that was finished in builder beige and is ready for something chosen. The tile showers in our gallery are the kind we build: large-format porcelain, a niche, a bench where the space allows, and a linear or standard drain set in a properly sloped, waterproofed pan.
Humidity is the enemy of every bathroom in Northeast Florida. We install or replace exhaust fans that vent to the exterior (not the attic), use cement board and a liquid or sheet membrane behind tile, and caulk every change of plane with the right product. A bathroom that is built this way does not grow mildew in the grout by the second summer.
Like-for-like fixture swaps are routine. When a job needs a permit or a licensed trade (moving plumbing, new circuits, structural changes) we say so up front and bring in the licensed plumber, electrician or general contractor who pulls it.

Tile showers
Walk-in and curbed showers with waterproofed pans, niches, benches and frameless or semi-frameless glass.

Tub-to-shower conversions
Remove the tub, rebuild the wet wall, tile the enclosure, usually five to eight working days.

Vanities & tops
Furniture-style or floating vanities, quartz or cultured-marble tops, new faucets and mirrors.

Flooring
Porcelain and ceramic tile or waterproof LVP over a flat, sealed subfloor.

Ventilation & lighting
Exterior-vented exhaust fans, vanity and recessed lighting through a licensed electrician where new circuits are needed.

Aging-in-place
Zero-threshold showers, grab bars blocked into the framing, comfort-height toilets and slip-resistant tile.

How much does a bathroom remodel cost in Northeast Florida?
A tub-to-shower conversion typically runs $7,000–$14,000; a full hall-bath remodel $12,000–$25,000; a master bath $25,000–$50,000+ (2026). Tile choice and glass are the biggest swing items.
How long does a bathroom remodel take?
A tub-to-shower conversion takes one to two weeks; a full bathroom three to four weeks; a master bath with layout changes five to seven weeks. We keep one bathroom in the house working at all times.
Do you handle the plumbing?
We swap fixtures in place. Relocating a drain, moving supply lines into a new wall, or adding a shower where there was none is permitted plumbing work, and a licensed plumber does it as part of our scope.
Can you build a walk-in shower for an older family member?
Yes. Zero-threshold entries, a fold-down bench, hand-held shower, blocking for grab bars and a comfort-height toilet are all standard options. Fernandina Beach and the Jacksonville beaches have a lot of this work and it is some of the most satisfying we do.
